Yoto has just unveiled a brand-new audio player for families looking for screen-free play.

The Yoto Player 4th Gen and Yoto Mini 4th Gen are the latest models in the brand's flagship range, boasting new personalisation features and an updated look.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, The Yoto Player is a child-friendly audio player. It's essentially a speaker that can play audio content via Yoto Cards, as well as content from an accompanying app. The cards, purchased separately, include a range of content from audiobooks like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Chronicles of Narnia to music from bands like Queen.

The biggest change is a new Green Button, which lets parents create playlists of up to 20 favourite titles that children can access without having to find and insert a physical Yoto Card. The new models also have more storage and a tougher body.

What's different about the new Yoto Player 4th Gen?

The new Yoto Player promises to be Yoto's biggest upgrade yet, with new features, more storage and a whole new look.

To start, the player comes with a new Green Button on the side. Simply push that, and your child has instant access to their favourite audio and personalised playlists without having to track down a card. All you have to do is set up their top sounds on the app beforehand – perfect if they need some night-time comfort or independent play.

There's also an all-new night light panel on the Yoto Player 4th Gen, which can also provide bedtime and Ok-to-Wake cues for your child. Choose from seven colours to create a calming bedtime environment or signal when it's time to get up.

Plus, these new players are stronger – with IP67 puddle-proofing – and faster thanks to a new processor. Best of all, they've been upgraded to hold 64GB of storage – enough for up to 1,000 hours of audio.

What is the Yoto Player 4th Gen release date?

The Yoto Mini 4th Gen and Yoto Player 4th Gen are available for pre-order from today, 10 September 2026.

Shipping will begin for the Yoto Mini 4th Gen on 30 September, and for the Yoto 4th Gen on 15 October.

How much does the new Yoto Player 4th Gen cost?

The Yoto Player 4th Gen costs £119.99 and the Yoto Mini 4th Gen costs £89.99. That's a jump on the previous players, which started at £89.99 and £59.99 respectively, but this is due to the improved features like greater storage.
