The limited-edition range sees the much-loved Aardman character appear on the brand’s bestselling Gobi Sneaker, designed for toddlers, preschoolers and older kids. Prices start from £65 and the collection is available now online and in selected Vivobarefoot stores, while stocks last.

Blending Vivobarefoot’s barefoot shoe design with Shaun’s muddy, adventurous spirit, the collaboration is all about encouraging little ones to move naturally and explore freely.

What is in the Vivobarefoot x Shaun the Sheep collection?

The collection features three sizes of the Gobi Sneaker, adapted for different age groups:

Each pair features Shaun the Sheep-inspired detailing and is designed with Vivobarefoot’s signature barefoot-style sole. That means wide toe boxes, thin soles and flexible materials intended to support natural foot movement.

According to the brand, the shoes are designed to help children’s feet “grow natural and free”.

Why parents are talking about barefoot shoes

Barefoot footwear has become increasingly popular with parents looking for shoes that allow children’s feet to move more naturally.

Vivobarefoot says its shoes are designed to mimic being barefoot as closely as possible, helping wearers feel more connected to the ground beneath them while supporting unrestricted movement.

The brand also points to research* suggesting minimalist footwear can help improve foot strength over time.

Shaun the Sheep is the ‘OG barefooter’

Vivobarefoot founder and CEO Galahad Clark said the collaboration felt like a natural fit for the brand.

Shaun is the OG barefooter. He's also exactly the kind of character we want kids growing up with, curious, wild, completely himself, free to explore the world around. This collaboration is a celebration of childhood the way it's meant to be lived: feet free, imaginations freer.

The partnership also taps into the nostalgia many millennial parents have for Shaun the Sheep, who first appeared in Wallace & Gromit before starring in his own BAFTA-winning series.
