The Momcozy BM04 5in Dual-Mode Smart Baby Monitor is £149.99 at Amazon for Prime Day, down from its £199.99 RRP. That's a 25% saving.

More importantly, this isn't a baby monitor we've picked on specs alone. We put it through its paces with a real family for our full Momcozy BM04 review, where it scored an impressive 4.6 out of 5. It also won Silver for Best Baby Movement Monitor at the MadeForMums Tech Awards 2025.

One of the features that makes the BM04 particularly handy for family life is its dual-mode set-up. There's a dedicated 5-inch parent unit, so you can keep an eye on your baby without relying on Wi-Fi or your phone, plus the Momcozy app for checking the camera remotely.

The camera has 2K resolution, infrared night vision, 350° pan and 110° tilt, plus 2x and 4x zoom and two-way audio. You'll also find room-temperature monitoring and built-in lullabies, while up to 20 family members can be given access through the app.

MadeForMums parent tester Harriet tried the monitor with her 10-month-old son, using it for naps, overnight monitoring and while travelling.

Set-up took her less than 10 minutes and she awarded the BM04 a full 5 out of 5 for ease of use. It also scored top marks for sound and picture quality.

Harriet described the 2K picture as giving such a clear view that it made her feel "like you are in the room with them".

Why did the Momcozy BM04 impress our testers?

That strong performance wasn't limited to our main review. The BM04 also picked up Silver for Best Baby Movement Monitor in the MadeForMums Tech Awards 2025.

Awards tester Rachel used the monitor with her 5-month-old and was particularly impressed by the camera.

I was blown away by the picture quality and zoom ability of this camera.

Being able to switch between Wi-Fi and non-Wi-Fi monitoring was another plus during our testing. Harriet found this particularly useful while travelling somewhere with a less reliable internet connection.

Battery life performed well, too. Momcozy claims the parent unit can last for up to 20 hours, and Harriet managed at least nine hours without charging during testing, enough to get her through the night.

While she liked having the app as an option, Harriet occasionally experienced a slight delay and found herself using the dedicated monitor screen more often because of its reliability.

You can read exactly how it performed, including our tester's ratings for set-up, design, picture quality, battery life and value, in our full Momcozy BM04 baby monitor review.

Is the Momcozy BM04 worth buying for £149.99?

When we tested the BM04 at its £199.99 RRP, Harriet gave it 4.4 out of 5 for value for money, so seeing another £50 knocked off makes it considerably more tempting.

There are a few things worth knowing before you buy. You'll need to add an SD card if you want to record footage or take pictures, we occasionally experienced some lag with the app feed, and you don't get the detailed sleep-analysis features offered by some premium smart baby monitors.

But if your priorities are a sharp picture, a physical parent unit and the flexibility to keep monitoring your baby even without Wi-Fi, £149.99 is a much more appealing price for a monitor that performed strongly in our hands-on testing.
