M&S has just unveiled its kids’ Halloween collection for this year and, if you prefer your spooky season more cute than creepy, there are some seriously sweet options.

Starting from just £6, the new M&S range covers babies and children, with everything from a teeny pumpkin bodysuit and a ‘My First Halloween’ sleepsuit to glow-in-the-dark skeleton pyjamas, bat sweatshirts and cosy ghost-covered knitwear.

Better still, plenty of the pieces are subtle enough to wear long after 31 October, which is always a win when you’re trying to avoid buying an outfit that gets approximately three hours of wear.

M&S Halloween kids’ clothes start from £6

The most affordable piece highlighted in the new collection is the M&S Cotton Rich Halloween Bat Sweatshirt, priced at £6 for ages two to eight.

For £9, there’s also a Cotton Rich Halloween Cape Dress, while little ones celebrating their first spooky season can get in on the action with a £10 ‘My First Halloween’ sleepsuit, available from 7lbs up to nine months.

M&S describes the collection as “cute, considered and chic”, with monochrome prints, checkerboard designs and cosy knitwear mixed with pumpkins, ghosts and other Halloween details.

Halloween clothes they can actually wear again

One of the more parent-friendly things about the collection is that it isn’t all fancy dress. M&S has mixed obvious Halloween costumes with sweatshirts, jumpers and separates that should be easier to work into their wardrobe throughout autumn.

That makes the £6 bat sweatshirt and ghost knit particularly handy if your child has a Halloween day at nursery or school but isn’t keen on wearing a full costume.

And if you’re already mentally planning the pumpkin-patch pictures, the baby range may be difficult to resist. The pumpkin bodysuit comes complete with a matching hat, while the ‘My First Halloween’ sleepsuit is an easy option for the tiniest trick-or-treaters.
