The collection was created in response to demand from families around the world for Bluey audiobooks, combining the stories into one listening experience with sounds from the original television episodes.

The audiobook features eight familiar adventures starring Bluey, Bingo, Mum and Dad:

That makes it an easy option for family listening, whether you're looking for something to play at bedtime, during a car journey or simply while everyone is having a quiet moment at home.

Miranda Tapsell brings the stories to life

Tapsell’s connection to Bluey makes her a natural choice to narrate the collection, and James Keyte, head of audio content at Penguin Random House Audio, says her performance is one of its highlights.

Keyte added that families around the world had been looking forward to the audiobook, describing its release as an “honor” for the teams involved at Penguin Random House Audio, PRH Australia and the US.

A new way to share Bluey stories

Jan Paterson, director of books and audio publishing at BBC Studios, says the move into audiobooks reflects the continuing popularity of Bluey among families.

“With Bluey continuing to be one of the top performing children's publishing brands, it's exciting to see that audience appetite extend into audiobooks,” she says.

Paterson adds that the collection gives families “a new way to connect with Bluey with stories and characters that they already know and love.”

For parents who already have a house full of Bluey books, the audio collection also offers another way for children to enjoy familiar stories without needing to sit down with a physical book.

Why shared listening could be a family win

Rianna Mezzullo, publisher at Penguin Random House Children's Licensing, says audio can help make storytelling a shared experience for children, families and early years settings.

“Shared listening offers a powerful way for children, families and early years settings to connect, bringing stories to life and creating joyful, collective reading experiences,” she says.
